Seesaw

Hello everyone! Today I wanna introduce an amazing app to you. Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio. You don't need to take papers home while studying on Seesaw, because all your work shows up on a digital platform.

As a teacher you can create an online class which you can manage as you want thanks to class settings. You can choose the grade and subject, then search for new activity ideas in "community" part. You can see your saved activities in "my library" part. There is inbox for sending announcements to both your students and their families. You can check the assingments of your students on this platform. Besides you can set up a class blog, and share anything you want with your students there.

All these qualifications make Seesaw useful, serviceable and enjoyable in my sight. So I hope to use it as a teacher too in the future. For now I gave it just a try and created an activity for my imaginary students. Here's the link if you wish to check it: https://app.seesaw.me/pages/shared_activity?share_token=_71WB6qjSDyqhquphbNhcw&prompt_id=prompt.2bc694e2-ca83-4bb9-b6e7-adac1bc00a27

Padlet

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about an excellent app which is called Padlet.

Padlet is an online virtual “bulletin” board, where students and teachers
can collaborate, reflect, share links and pictures in a secure location.

Padlet allows users to create a hidden wall with a custom URL. Padlet
creators can also moderate posts, remove posts, and make changes on their board.

This excellent app has a lot of qualifications. There are a lot of useful and colorful wallpapers that you can use. You can play around with the layout options to find the best for you. Besides thanks to various privacy settings you can collaborate with your grade-level team members, offering them moderation or admin rights to the wall by e-mailing them the link. Just by one click you can share your Padlet on various platforms, export or print it.

Here's my Padlet and the link for it:

Finally if you ask me, you can use Padlet not only for education and business, but also you can edit your photos and make collages on this app.

Edmodo

Hello everyone! Today I wanna talk about a quite useful app which is called Edmodo.

Edmodo is an easy way to get your students connected, so they can safely collaborate, get and stay organized, and access assingments, grades, and school messages. You can download this app from Google Play or App Store for free. When you first open it, you're asked whether you're a teacher, a student or a parent. The app is designed differently according to everyone's need.

For now, I use it as a student. I've been acquainted with Edmodo since the very beginning of my university life, because in my school, which is Istanbul University Cerrahpasa, lecturers benefit from this app frequently. As a student I'm glad about that, because it's quite useful. Now let me explain what I mean by "useful"

These are the classes that I attended till now. Besides there is an option called "latest activity" and we can say that it's the homepage of this app. We can see all the announcements and assingments given by our lecturers here.

Apart from this, you can choose a specific class from "my classes" part and see posts, folders and members of that class in detail.

With all these features and more, Edmodo provides you with saving of time, connecting with everyone at once and easily, and staying organized in an enjoyful setting. I hope to use it as a teacher too in the future!

Gistory

Hello everyone! Now I'll tell you about my checkover of an app called Gistory.

As defined on the app itself, Gistory is an app for students and teachers to create their own enriched interactive stories which we call Gistory. Besides while starting you can learn how to create a gistory and a chunk on the app in detail. For now there are only three gistories on the app. They are called Learning Present Continuous Tense, Around The World In 80 Days, and No Puede Ser Posible which is a Spanish one.

The first one helps practice present continuous tense. Firstly you do some warm up exercises. Then you read a quite short passage and answer a question about it. Finally you do listening exercises which require you listen to something and answer questions about them.

The second one is a short story about Jules Verne's book Around The World In 80 Days. While reading you help charachters move in some points.

The third one is a beginner level Spanish short story. Since I can't speak Spanish, I couldn't understand anything unfortunately. Yet I checked it anyway.
